A filter that follows how hard you play
A filter that follows how hard you play: an envelope-following wah with SENS for how far it opens, BASE for where it starts, RES for how vocal it is, and MIX. The auto-wah clav, the funk bass, the talking lead.
As WAH: X is BASE, Y is RES. Touch to engage, lift to let go, HOLD to keep it.
Four to a socket, in order: sound runs through the slots top to bottom. Open the box and every knob is in real units; BYPASS takes it out of the path without losing its settings; the presets are along the top; any knob learns a controller and gets an automation lane.
| Knob | Range | Starts at | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| SENS | 0 to 1 | 0.6 | linear |
| BASE | 100 Hz to 2000 Hz | 300 Hz | log |
| RES | 0 to 1 | 0.6 | linear |
| MIX | 0 to 1 | 1 | linear |
Every box ships with a bank. AS SET is the knobs as you left them; the rest are starting points, each a sound someone wanted often enough to name. Star one and it sits at the front of the bank.
| Preset | SENS | BASE | RES | MIX |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FUNK | 0.6 | 300 Hz | 0.6 | 1 |
| SOFT | 0.4 | 250 Hz | 0.4 | 1 |
| SUBTLE | 0.3 | 400 Hz | 0.3 | 0.6 |
| QUACK | 0.9 | 200 Hz | 0.8 | 1 |
| DEEP | 0.7 | 120 Hz | 0.7 | 1 |
| BRIGHT | 0.6 | 600 Hz | 0.5 | 1 |
| TALK | 1 | 150 Hz | 0.9 | 1 |
Every box is also a line of the console's language, so a pad or a patch can carry its effects in text. The words are the knobs:
