Copies drifting past each other
Copies drifting past each other: a modulated delay with RATE, DEPTH in milliseconds, and MIX. The ensemble sound on a string pad, the width on a lead, the thickness on a bass if you keep the depth small.
Four to a socket, in order: sound runs through the slots top to bottom. Open the box and every knob is in real units; BYPASS takes it out of the path without losing its settings; the presets are along the top; any knob learns a controller and gets an automation lane.
| Knob | Range | Starts at | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| RATE | 0.05 Hz to 10 Hz | 0.8 Hz | log |
| DEPTH | 0.5 ms to 20 ms | 6 ms | linear |
| MIX | 0 to 1 | 0.5 | linear |
Every box ships with a bank. AS SET is the knobs as you left them; the rest are starting points, each a sound someone wanted often enough to name. Star one and it sits at the front of the bank.
| Preset | RATE | DEPTH | MIX |
|---|---|---|---|
| SOFT | 0.6 Hz | 4 ms | 0.35 |
| CLASSIC | 0.8 Hz | 6 ms | 0.5 |
| WIDE | 0.8 Hz | 8 ms | 0.5 |
| SLOW | 0.25 Hz | 10 ms | 0.5 |
| SHIMMER | 1.5 Hz | 2 ms | 0.5 |
| FAST | 3 Hz | 3 ms | 0.4 |
| DEEP | 0.5 Hz | 14 ms | 0.6 |
| SEASICK | 0.2 Hz | 16 ms | 0.7 |
Every box is also a line of the console's language, so a pad or a patch can carry its effects in text. The words are the knobs:
