The whole thing moved in semitones
The whole thing moved in semitones, an octave each way, with a MIX to blend the shifted and the straight. A fifth up at half mix is a harmony; an octave down at full mix is a new bass.
As SHIFT: X is SEMIS, Y is MIX. Touch to engage, lift to let go, HOLD to keep it.
Four to a socket, in order: sound runs through the slots top to bottom. Open the box and every knob is in real units; BYPASS takes it out of the path without losing its settings; the presets are along the top; any knob learns a controller and gets an automation lane.
| Knob | Range | Starts at | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| SEMIS | -12 st to 12 st | 0 st | linear |
| MIX | 0 to 1 | 1 | linear |
Every box ships with a bank. AS SET is the knobs as you left them; the rest are starting points, each a sound someone wanted often enough to name. Star one and it sits at the front of the bank.
| Preset | SEMIS | MIX |
|---|---|---|
| OCT DOWN | -12 st | 1 |
| OCT UP | 12 st | 1 |
| SUB LAYER | -12 st | 0.5 |
| FIFTH | 7 st | 0.5 |
| FOURTH | 5 st | 0.5 |
| MINOR 3RD | 3 st | 0.5 |
| DETUNE | 0.15 st | 0.5 |
| THICK | -0.1 st | 0.5 |
Every box is also a line of the console's language, so a pad or a patch can carry its effects in text. The words are the knobs:
