A stuttering repeat, like a scratched disc
A stuttering repeat, like a scratched disc: the last SIZE milliseconds caught and played again at RATE, with SKIP for how often it catches and MIX to blend. On the touch pad this is the glitch under your finger.
Four to a socket, in order: sound runs through the slots top to bottom. Open the box and every knob is in real units; BYPASS takes it out of the path without losing its settings; the presets are along the top; any knob learns a controller and gets an automation lane.
| Knob | Range | Starts at | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| RATE | 1 Hz to 32 Hz | 8 Hz | log |
| SIZE | 5 ms to 400 ms | 60 ms | log |
| SKIP | 0 to 1 | 0.6 | linear |
| MIX | 0 to 1 | 1 | linear |
Every box ships with a bank. AS SET is the knobs as you left them; the rest are starting points, each a sound someone wanted often enough to name. Star one and it sits at the front of the bank.

Every box is also a line of the console's language, so a pad or a patch can carry its effects in text. The words are the knobs:
