Three bands with a sweepable middle
Three bands, with the middle one sweepable from 200 Hz to 8 kHz. Fifteen decibels each way is more than a desk EQ usually gives, because a chip sometimes needs a lot taken off. The same three bands sit on every channel strip; this is the one you can move and automate.
Four to a socket, in order: sound runs through the slots top to bottom. Open the box and every knob is in real units; BYPASS takes it out of the path without losing its settings; the presets are along the top; any knob learns a controller and gets an automation lane.
| Knob | Range | Starts at | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| LOW | -15 dB to 15 dB | 0 dB | linear |
| MID | -15 dB to 15 dB | 0 dB | linear |
| FREQ | 200 Hz to 8000 Hz | 1000 Hz | log |
| HIGH | -15 dB to 15 dB | 0 dB | linear |
Every box ships with a bank. AS SET is the knobs as you left them; the rest are starting points, each a sound someone wanted often enough to name. Star one and it sits at the front of the bank.

Every box is also a line of the console's language, so a pad or a patch can carry its effects in text. The words are the knobs:
