Repeats, in time or free
Repeats, in time or free: a stereo delay with TIME in milliseconds, feedback and mix. The DELAY bus on the desk carries one of these synced to the song's tempo (a dotted eighth by default), so every channel's send has an echo in time.
As DELAY: X is TIME, Y is FB. Touch to engage, lift to let go, HOLD to keep it.
Four to a socket, in order: sound runs through the slots top to bottom. Open the box and every knob is in real units; BYPASS takes it out of the path without losing its settings; the presets are along the top; any knob learns a controller and gets an automation lane.
| Knob | Range | Starts at | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| TIME | 1 ms to 2000 ms | 375 ms | log |
| FB | 0 to 0.95 | 0.4 | linear |
| MIX | 0 to 1 | 0.35 | linear |
Every box ships with a bank. AS SET is the knobs as you left them; the rest are starting points, each a sound someone wanted often enough to name. Star one and it sits at the front of the bank.
| Preset | TIME | FB | MIX |
|---|---|---|---|
| TIGHT | 60 ms | 0.3 | 0.3 |
| SLAP | 110 ms | 0.15 | 0.3 |
| 8TH | 250 ms | 0.4 | 0.35 |
| DOTTED | 375 ms | 0.45 | 0.35 |
| QUARTER | 500 ms | 0.4 | 0.35 |
| LONG | 750 ms | 0.55 | 0.4 |
| HALF | 1000 ms | 0.5 | 0.35 |
| DUB | 500 ms | 0.8 | 0.5 |
| ECHO WASH | 375 ms | 0.9 | 0.45 |
Every box is also a line of the console's language, so a pad or a patch can carry its effects in text. The words are the knobs:
fx delay time=375 fb=0.4 mix=0.35
